We are boutique mushroom growers based in Ngunguru on the Tutukaka Coast in Northland.
Our mushroom tinctures are 100% NZ MADE. There are no imported mushrooms in any of our products. We cultivate and grow our mushrooms right here in NZ. We only use the whole fruiting body of the mushroom to produce our tinctures, no myceliated grain is used.
Growing Shiitake and Turkey Tail mushrooms is a slow process.
It takes a minimum of 4 months to get to the harvest stage.
After harvest we use a dual extraction method requiring a further 4-6 weeks to draw out the mushroom’s maximum benefits into a bio-available form that's easy for our bodies to use.
Throughout the entire process our focus is on quality over quantity to achieve the best possible finished product. We then bottle, label and distribute our tinctures direct to you.
Our focus on the environment and sustainability
We take all possible measures to reduce our impact on the environment and achieve sustainable production practices. We grow our Turkey Tail mushrooms naturally outdoors when conditions are suitable in autumn and spring. Our Shiitake mushrooms are grown in the winter months to reduce power input to control temperatures in the grow room. We import commercially compostable bags to grow our mushrooms in and all leftover substrate goes to compost, which makes the garden a thriving and happy place!
